Paragon Science Academy Reviews

I too have the same concerns. In the beginning they promoted the fact that they would do progress testing (MAP) throughout the year. To date I have not seen nor heard of any testing so far. I am looking at putting my son back into the Kyrene school system, which I seriously hope Paragon did not hurt his progress.

I have concerns with the level of academics in the curriculum. It seems to easy to pass and I worry that the students will not be prepared when the graduate. I am looking into other schools.

Paragon Science Academy is a new-born Charter school in Chandler, AZ. It is one of the best Science, Math and Technology focused schools in Phoenix, AZ. The teachers are very passionate. They teach first and then challange the kids through a lot of afterschool programs and bring the classroom content to a reality. The students learn and apply it and it is a real-life application of science teaching. The communication between teachers and parents is unbelievable. I am sure every child and parent will be happy in this school since they accommodate everyone's needs.

Please with academics and individualized attention! some disorganization with administration must be rectified however the academics are worth it.

My child has been at Paragon last year and will definitely go back for this school year. Academics are very strong, teachers are dedicated, and students are willing and ready to learn. It is not for everyone, you must want to work and achieve, not just slide by. I think with added students this year it can only get better. Parent involvement is a must, funds need to be raised for lab equipment, and many extras that budget cuts have effected. Try this school, it will meet your expectations.

My child has just finished 6th grade and is very happy at Paragon. This is the first time that she is in the right gifted program and really challenged. I never imagined so dedicated teachers. We certainly continue with this school and hope that the next year will be even better.

Hello parents that check it out, it is good that you do this. We have two children at Paragon, one in elementary and the other in middle school. We couldn't be happier with both. As it is a new school, we would be suspicious if it was perfect. Growing pains are to be expected and normal. The staff and administration deal with issues as they arise, and strive to make it better. They are very dedicated. This is the very first school where my children have been challenged. The oldest progress is monitored through the year (3 MAPS & AIMS) We hold a high regard and respect for the teachers, and academics. The possibilities of learning here are almost endless, depending on the child's willingness and openness to excel. I will say, Paragon is not for everyone. Their student body wants to be there and, they want to learn, and they want the challenge. Simple - I would not have my children attend any other school.
