New Way Learning Academy Reviews

NWLA really helped my son with dyslexia get up to grade level in reading. They have amazing teachers and a really caring environment.

The best! After our eight year old twins attended seven previous schools we have found the perfect school! The school not only provides an IEP customized to meet each child's needs they follow through! Our twins now have self esteem and friends! This did not happen at the previous schools. We love every staff member that works with our children and Dawn Gutierrez, the executive director, is irreplaceable! I highly recommend this school to children with learning differences who are 'falling through the cracks'. That will not happen at this school! Another big difference here is that not only our your children highly respected by the staff, but the parents are as well. We do not have enough space here to say how wonderful this school is and how it has changed our lives!

I am not writing here as an employee of this school but as a teacher who has seen the good, bad , and ugly of education. This school is the good. There was an unfortunate incident last year where people who may not have had the students best interests at heart were in charge, that has changed. Dawn Gutierrez has been reinstated as the Head of School and this year has seen an increased focus on curriculum planning and the achievement of accreditation, which was awarded. All of these things aside it is the environment at this school that is truly exceptional. I have never worked anywhere where the focus was so completely on the students and their best interests. I can not recommend this school enough, both as a great place to study and a great place to work.

The school needs to work on its high school program, possible even consider a switch. Also there in desperate need of a athletics program. The teacher mr. Crawford has been a huge help to my son in his school life and social life. This is by far one of the best teachers i have ever. I believe this teacher and ones like at new keep this school afloat. There many kinks that need to be worked out i believe with the new broad this can all be solved and with there tech based lifestyle it is easy one of the best private schools in the nation.

New Way is literally an answer to our prayers! My daughter has struggled in school for years and no one seemed to understand her, until we sent her to New Way. They say 'we teach the way your child learns' and its so true. My daughter actually loves school now. The teachers and administration are wonderful.

New Way is amazing! The quality of the individualized education is outstanding. Each student is appreciated for their own talents and abilities in an open and inviting atmosphere that just can't be found in a public school. If you have a student with language based learning differences look no further.

New Way was a wonderful school for our son's high school years! He is in college now and doing well - because of the high quality teaching of the staff, the caring of support staff and the wonderful director Dawn Gutierrez. She is the best school director/administrator we have ever encountered. She balances sound education practices with unique instruction for kids with learnind disabilities, helps her staff grow and develop and ALWAYS keeping the growth and development of the children as her top priority. Our son has was one of 6 kids in his Algebra class - the teacher adapted the course to teach it to each of the students the way they needed to learn it. All were sucessful! It was a huge finacial sactrifice to our family to send our son here but he wouldn't be in college today if we hadn't done it.

a horrible school run by ego driven executive director and irresponsible board who have been negligent and humiliating children and teachers.hopefully the exec director and board will soon be ousted.

Their class sizes go well beyond the published 6 students:1 teacher ratio, and their curriculum is no different than any public school in the area. We are very disappointed.

New Way is a God-send for families with special-needs children. New Way provides an individualized learning environment for each child, specially tailored to meet the student's unique needs. The teachers are highly-trained and completely devoted to the kids. The kids are also a terrific bunch. Each child at New Way struggled to succeed at his or her previous school(s). Most come to New Way lacking confidence; many lack appropriate social skills. But at the supportive New Way environment, the kids learn they can succeed and they begin supporting and encouraging each other. My own child has become a confident, capable student who is eager to learn and get involved in the variety of activities available to New Way students. The transformation has been truly amazing.

Great private school. Excellent technology and great parent involvement. They now have Art, PE. They have Yearbook Club. The principal, Dawn Gutierrez is really nice. The teachers are professional every day.
