Montessori Center School Reviews

Montessori Center has been a wonderful and invaluable experience for our daughter. After researching an unbelievable number of preschools in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area, we found this school and we have been thrilled. Our daughter recently graduated from the kindergarten program and I cannot describe the growth we have seen over the last three years, both academically and socially. She has been nurtured and encouraged in a structured and student centered environment to pursue her natural curiosity and develop a life-long love of learning. She has looked forward to each day- learning everything from practical lifeskills to math, language, reading, geography, Spanish, Chinese, yoga, art and music appreciation- and has been immersed in a multicultural environment. We have watched her develop into a curious, self-directed, responsible student. The school has a talented and caring staff that values each child individually and the classroom as a community. Can't say enough!!!

This school was the most amazing experience for our daughter and us! She started a little later than some other children (3 1/2 vs 2 1/2) but the teachers and staff made all the difference! We will truly miss everyone - other parents included - now that she is moving on to a first grade classroom. She will be well prepared academically and has developed invaluable life and social skills. Highly recommended!

Montessori Center School has been an incredible experience for our child. My son started here when he was two and a half and graduated last month. Even though the school is centrally located, you would never know it by the environment. There is a sheep, birds, a pond, a large play area, and a huge sensory garden. It is a truly peaceful place. The teaching staff is top notch. It is very rewarding having your child taught by the same person for four years. Our son has learned cursive, sentence structure, geography, math (addition, subtraction, times, division, fractions, and simple fraction addition), reading, Spanish, Chinese, and even yoga (there are lots of arts and crafts too). Our son has also learned about manners and practical life skills. Finally, my wife and I appreciate the school s many different cultures and ethnicities. A great choice!!!

My 5 year old daughter started this school at 2 1/2. Shortly after, we when to a mixed party and you could actually tell the difference between the Montessori and Non-Montessori Kids. We love the administration and I am amazed with my daughter rounded and exemplary progress. The most important element of education in our home is the love of learning and self-discipline through a masterfully guided curriculum. I would highly recommend anyone wishing a school would meet your level of commitment for education that encourages independent thinking, social graces, kindness and a well rounded child to sign up quickly and stay through the entire 3 years. Excellent Choice!

I've been extremely happy with this school for my little girl. They are very strict here, but I think that is a good thing. They are also very traditional with the Montessori methods. Owned by one of the teachers and her husband, and they continue to put a lot into the school - the campus is a wonderland for little children, including the gardens, animals, etc. My daughter has been there two years, just turned five, and is reading, writing and doing math. They say that almost all of their children will be fully reading by the time they graduate from the program. I think this is a superb school to put your child if you are willing to trust the Montessori method to create a wonderfully educated, curious child. But the strictness of the school can take some adjustment. I recommend it, and will put my next child there soon.

This is an excellent school. My son has been attending this school for last two years. The school has been a teaching facility for Montessori teachers although the directress retired from teaching teachers this year. The school sets the standard on how Montessori teaching should be. The school has a wonderful sensory garden which can be beneficial for both students and the parents. The teachers and staff are very warm and loving. It will be very difficult to find a school like this one for my son after he graduates from here.

This is a fabulous school. After looking at quite possibly every preschool program in the metro Phoenix area, i found this school. This is the state training center for Montessori teachers, and it is a model Montessori environment. The teachers are all warm and welcoming, but give the children room to learn and figure things out for themselves. My daughter has been there since February and has benefited enormously, both socially and academically (if there is such a thing at 3 years old). There is a sense of calm and order everywhere in the school, from the classrooms to the playground. There are about 100 kids at the school, and in addition to the classroom building and playground, there is an extensive outdoor 'classroom' that the children use interchangeably with indoors. The gardens and wildlife (there's a sheep!) are excellent as well. A wonderful place.

I toured the school and found the classrooms to be very nice and the outdoor activity area very enjoyable.
