Xavier College Preparatory High School Reviews

This is an amazing school. You walk away with so much knowledge and understanding of tour peers and the world. This school is like a tight knot family where everyone cares about eachother, even if they did not know them. My experience at Xavier has been more than what I thought it would be. I love it there!!

I loved the experience I received at Xavier and now that I have graduated I miss it dearly.

My mom attended Xavier and from birth I was told I would also attend XCP. The all-girl environment and long commute had me apprehensive, but I would never trade my experience at XCP. Honestly it was the best 4 years of my life, and when I entered college I was more prepared than a vast majority of other students. If you are debating sending your child to Xavier, quit torturing yourself with the decision and just do it! I guarantee your daughter will love it! I miss it so much that I've considered returning as a teacher!

The teachers are some of the smartest individuals you will ever meet, classes are small, Brophy is right next door, tons of dances, mass once a month. Very tolerant of different religions. I'm Mormon going to a Catholic school. Xavier is awesome!

My freshman daughter loves Xavier, tho was apprehensive at first. Small classes (21-25 students), and teachers teach critical thinking and techniques for effective studying. Most teachers aren't nuns. Friendly students: my daughter (who only knew 1 girl when she started) has more friends than she could have dreamed of! Mass required once/mo. as is yearly theology class; Catholocism is presented but not pushed (we aren't Catholic; 30%+ are not). Brophy bus service provided to E. Valley makes transportation easy (cost=$110/mo). Academically outstanding w/ great teacher support. A challenging school for the academically serious girl who also wants to have fun. A little heavy on requests for add'l financial contribution (above the tuition), but easily ignored. No cafeteria but hot lunch available. LOTS of boy contact and social activities w/ Brophy. High academic and moral standards, but not overbearing. Excellent women role models. Great choice for my daughter.

I attended Xavier College Prep after going to public elementary and middle schools. I attribute a lot of my success to time spent here. Xavier provides a rigorous and rewarding curriculum and allowed me to meet some outstanding women--including my classmates. Initially, I did not like Xavier in the least, but after having graduated university (NYU) and finding a job I love (in NY real estate), I can say without a doubt that Xavier was one of the best decisions my parents made for me. All my fellow alumnae agree.

Xavier is a very good high school. I mostly admire how the girls really are self-confidant about all aspects of their lives. Area of growth - counseling, especially for college.

Xavier is the best high school experience anyone can ask for regardless of religious affiliations or beliefs. Xavier is a supportive community that goes beyond excellence to create women who are capable of creating a better world.

This is my daughter's first experience in a private school. She has always been a highly motivated, outstanding student. I was worried that she would 'just be average' at a school like Xavier, but I could not have been more wrong! She is amazing and so is the school! She is challenged like she has never been before -- in her own words, 'I can't imagine myself anywhere but Xavier!' We were worried about the high cost of tuition, but I encourage you to take advantage of the AZ tax credit to defray the cost of tuition. Every penny we are paying for Xavier is well worth it!

It took a lot of persuasion to get my older daughter to attend Xavier but we thought she needed a more personal atmosphere than she could get at a public school. Her younger sister, who was adamant she would never consider an all-girl school, is a kid we figured could do well anywhere. Yet, when she saw how much more quickly her sister matured (emotionally and intellectually) than classmates from the public middle school, she finally told me 'I guess I'm going to have to go to Xavier.' Both experiences have been life-changing. And mornings are so much easier with a uniform and no worries about makeup, hair, etc. etc.

This school is one of the best in Arizona for its quality of education and development of young women. The girls are fantastic and everyone gets along perfectly. You could have a wonderful time at this school because there is something for everyone.

Xavier is an amazing school that builds confidence as well as independence. The school is wonderful about creating leadership and ability through clubs and great academic opportunities. They have a club or team for everyone and have an excellent liberal arts program. All of the sport teams and liberal arts start from any experience level and are extremely competitive and skillful. The girls will have an independence away from the guys but still have chances to take classes including Latin over at Brophy. The academics are amazing. They offer honors as well as Great Books for the over overachievers with math levels going past calculus. There is no better school to go to for High School than Xavier. It is a great school for all young women that are looking for a successful future.

Xavier has lived up to all of our expectations. It is just overall a great school!

Teachers really empower these women to achieve. Community atmosphere with caring faculty. Excellent sports programs. I loved this school.

Xavier has offered an excellent experience for both of my daughters. Staff is caring, and the education they have received could never be matched in a public school. If you have a dedicated student athlete, Xavier is unbeatable!

Top notch school! I am thrilled with the young woman my daughter has become during her 4 years at Xavier. She is prepared academically and spirtually for the future. She received several FULL college merit scholarships. There is no comparison with her public school counterparts. She deeply cares about the world she lives in and wants to give back to the community. Do whatever it takes to send your daughter to XCP. I promise it's worth it!
