Broadmor Elementary School Reviews

My son has truely opened up since his attendance here at Broadmore and his teacher goes out of her way to keep in touch with me weekly, even daily if necessary. He is so intelligent and I am so greatful to the staff for the outstanding job they are doing!

I have a son with special needs who is attending Broadmor School, how grateful I am to say the new school accommodates his needs. First he was not allowed to be at the school, Dr. Fidler did not feel with his special needs he should be on campus, thankfully other things happened and he is welcome, just like any other typical child. Ms. McCoy makes it a wonderful place for any parent or child to be. My older daughter went to Broadmor when a Down Syndrome girl was there, and what a neat experience it was for her to learn that we all have differences.

The school and community is amazing. Leadership is rebuilding the staff community brick by brick and doing a great job at it.

This place used to be a great school. The new administration is killing community and family involvement -- and tearing the place down, literally, brick by brick.

Our kids enjoy learning at Broadmor. The community around the school, including the empty nesters, are very supportive of Broadmor

Broadmor has become a better school since Dr. Fidler left. Principal McCoy is excellent and has created a wonderful learning environment. I am very pleased with what Broadmor has become!

I am so happy with the teachers my children had their first year at Broadmor. I am also impressed with the caring attitude and experience of the teachers because frankly teaching kinders is kind of like 'herding cats.' Parent involvement is also outstanding. I have met some great parents that have become good friends. My children have also met some great friends. Only downer is that one teacher to 21-24 kids is too much in kindergarten. A second adult is needed all day! And how can these teachers get a raise? I had the opportunity to volunteer in a couple classrooms and have so much respect for these teachers! Broadmor is a gem in the TD#3 district!

Broadmor is still the best Elementary school in the district, but it has gone downhill since Dr. Fidler left.

My son has attended Broadmor for the past two years. I have and still am very impressed with the school. Teachers are very helpful and caring. Bullying is not tolerated. My son loves going to school everyday. Parental involvement is amazing!

We are quite happy with Broadmor. The level of parental involvement is astounding, the grounds are relatively safe and friendly. I have no complaints about the diversity in the curriculum, either- music, art, pe... it's all great! One thing to fix: kindergarten needs more teachers per classroom. Ratios need to improve. Drastically.... one teacher vs. 23 five-year-olds is not a good thing.

I currently have three children at Broadmor, and I am extremely satisfied with the school. Students have orchestra of chorus starting in 4th grade as part of the regular curriculum. The teachers are nurturing and caring, and I feel that every opportunity is extended for each and every student to achieve success. Although the class size is somewhat greater than other schools, efforts are made to accommodate the difference in students learning and aptitude within each class. In addition to attention to science, reading and math, arts education is also a regular and important part of the education at Broadmor. Broadmor also has a well appointed library and engaging after school programs. Most of all, my children are enthusiastic about learning and look forward to going to school each and every day!

my daughter is going to 1st grade there and I am impressed with the quality of the whole program. And Miss Scarlett is a wonderful teacher! the first day she went she told me 'this is the best school ever!'. And her opinion has not changed. After bouncing her thru 2 different kindergartens last year, I'm very happy with Broadmor and hope to stay here for the duration.

Broadmor Elementary is a little oasis in the middle of a school district that has many underperforming schools. It has a library that rivals many high schools' with respect to quantity and variety of books. Our experience after sending a girl and a boy from K-5 was that there is a range in teacher quality. With most teachers good to really top notch and a few that we could have done without. The music and theater programs are excellent with very strong parental support. There are many parents volunteering at the school during the day as well. The principle, Dr. Fiddler, is in his second tenure at the school. He provides an environment where the parents are comfortable to express thier concerns and where teachers a free enough to excell.

Dr. Fidler and the teachers are a great group. They work hard for the kids and parents. I couldn't ask for better! Even better are the supportive parents with this school. The fall festival each year has been a great way to see what's going on at Broadmor.

My brothers and I went to Broadmor 20-some years ago and I'm happy that my daughter now has the opportunity to go there. It's a great school. The principal and teachers really care about each student. Congratulations on the 50th anniversary! Here's to 50 more.

Yesterday was the last day of school and my children all cried to be leaving these teachers that they love so dearly. My 2nd grader held onto her teacher and sobbed...and her teacher held her and gently rubbed her arm and assured her they would reunite next school year...with tears in her own eyes! Broadmor teachers are the finest and most loving teachers anywhere!

Broadmor has provided an excellent education for my son. Expectations are high and made clear to all students. The kids have fun in a safe, highly-disciplined environment. Parental involvement is encouraged and the school has a close community feeling despite being in a large metropolitan area.

I have never been to a school where the principal was so involved with the children. When I take my daughter to school in the morning, I see the principal walking around campus talking to the students. He says hi to my daughter by name! Her teacher is great as well. She sincerely cares about how she is doing in class. I do not regret my decison to take my daughter to Broadmor school. My child is getting a wonderful education while enjoying her day at school.

My child is in a kindergarten class at Broadmor. I am so impressed with everything about Broadmor. She does so much more than I would expect her to do in kindergarten and best of all, she is learning so much! She enjoys school, loves her teacher, and feels comfortable going to her principal if she has any problems/questions.
