Copperwood School Reviews

Copperwood has always had exceptional leadership at all levels. What I love the most is the tenure of the teachers and the loving care and passion that they have for the students and for teaching . There are a couple of teachers that really had a significant impact on my son's life and I truly am grateful...kudos to the Copperwood staff! They are the best!

Truly an A+ school. Our children are so happy to go to school every day. Dr. Crudder and his staff are absolutely amazing!! Definitely the right school for us!!!

I Would really agree that as a student of Copperwood, I am very grateful to be attending such a wonderful school with UNBELIEVABLE teacher's and a Principal who goes out of his way to help students reach their goals in life and help them succeed in education. We have MANY different after school activities that are the most of fun. Our choir is one of the top's and really awesome! Band has some really beautiful peaces to play and you will defiantly get interested in the throw of the ball. Or the debating of something, play's the drama club puts on and a whole lot more! From media club to football. I would have to say. WE are lucky to have it all. AND not to mention that learning iss really fun

I would HIGHLY recommend this school! We searched long and hard for a school for our children to attend. We are so grateful to have found Cooperwood! The principle is unlike any I've ever met with such true care and concern for every student. Every teacher that I've come in contact with has been top notch. We have Mrs. Babin and absolutely think the world of her. This school has it all!

I am a former student of Copperwood and have to say that I am extremely grateful to my parents for sending me there. I am currently a student at Ironwood, a local high school, and any other school could not have prepared me better than Copperwood did for the academic challenges I currently face at IHS. The teachers were always willing to help me and sparked interest in subjects I otherwise would not have studied. It was definately better than my previous elementary school, in which i was an outcast because of my intellectual abilities. Copperwood created a welcoming environment among those with similar abilities and those who were considered 'average'.

I just wanted to let any parent know that they can feel totally at ease when deciding whether or not to send their child/ren to this school! It's easy to tell others that you love the shcool that your kids go to, but it honestly is so true. This school thinks outside the box and really helps your child stretch their thinking skills. From the front office staff, to the principal & all the teachers, they do a fantastic job. It's great to know what an awesome education my kids are getting!

This is our second year at Copperwood. My two first graders and fifth grader love their teachers. The principal and assistant principal know most of the students by name and are always visible, asking the students how their day is going and making sure everyone is where they should be. While education and safety are both high priorities at Copperwood, fun and community are not far behind. An excelling school four years in a row and nominated as an A+ school in 2006-2007, Copperwood offers a gifted program (CCDI/PI), athletics, drama, band, chorus, and orchestra for a well-rounded school experience.

Students recieve a very high quality of education from Copperwood. Many high achieving students go there and the principle is a very pleasant person.

The CCDI program (gifted) is excellent with small class size, quality teachers and strong parental involvement. There is also a great new principal this year for new school activities. The only drawback is the small size of CCDI and the insular education without much interaction with the rest of the school.

I feel Copperwood is above average. There is always that rotten apple occasionaly, but for the most part it excels in most everything. I do wish that all public schools would have more P.E. and extra curricular classes.

I highly recommend this school. The teachers and staff are top notch. My children attend this school on a variance and with the districts grace they will complete their entire grade school career at Copperwood. They also have a great music program, something that most schools lack.

I have two three children that attend copperwood elementry school. The staff is one of the most helpful and friendly I have ever met. The teachers and staff for Special Needs students have been most helpful with discovering and understanding the needs and placing my now third grader. They have advanced programs for my now eigth grader and sports for my now second grader. They know all my children's names onsite and are always eager to assist me no matter what the issue is. Very pleased with this school.

Mrs. Folz (first grade) is a tremendous asset to the school. Her encouragement, approach, and work with academic fundamentals is a great (and enthusiastic) foundation for her students.
