Desert Garden Elementary School Reviews

Love the event that they come up..Good learning event for the kids and parent's ,not all school have or do this.

I have a child with special needs at Desert Garden School. The teachers and administration are concerned as much about my child as they would their own. They meet with me whenever I want and make sure that my child has all the support he needs to be meet all of his goals. They are patient with his behavior and make sure that he feels real success for all he accomplishes.

My daughter goes to this school and she is in the 3rd grade. This school is changing when it comes to teaching their students. I have seen great prograss. The Principal and Vice Principal are always involved and understanding with us. That is huge when it comes to their education. Her teacher is wonderful and does show me that she has the kids best interest in my daughters education and the need for her to achieve this for not only education but in life. You dont see this in many teachers. I am greatful my daughter has her for a teacher. Sometimes there is a need to be patient when it comes to the school system because they 'are' trying to make a difference. I have personally seen this with this school. Keep up the good work Desert Gardens Team!- Ms Limon-Gonzalez

I am a teacher at this school and I know how dedicated the staff is to the success of the students. Our school has great art, music, and PE programs. There a parent coffee every month, curriculum nights, Saturday school, family nights, turoring after school and much more. Our choir sung at the state capital this year and got outstanding reviews. The art department is active in art shows, contests, artsonia.com, and field trips. PE includes a fantastic field day and recess activities. The school keeps raising it's test scores despite the truancy and language issues it faces on a daily basis. This school provides quality teachers that provide many opportunities for success.

My child is in Kindergarten at Desert Garden. I feel his teacher wrote him off at the begining of the school year and isn't providing the help he needs to get to 1st grade. I do not like the idea of expecting them to know the same things that a first grader would. I am looking for a charter school to place him in. a school where the teachers have more time to focus on one on one teaching.

my daughter has attended this school for 3 years now and i can honestly say this school has improved tremendously since moving to k-4 grades. i think the kids will get more teaching and more one on one. this was a great idea. my daughter has always talked highly of her school and any complaints are easily resolved

My child has attended for 3 years. I am not all impressed with the school. I have met the teachers who seem frustrated. My child is bored at school and I do not feel it is challenging enough. Then to top it all off. The lack of money for books and equipment is ridiculous.

I had my son at Desert Garden from kindergarten to 4th grade. The teachers showing me and telling me my son was doing very well. Finding out later and probably to late that he has a reading disability. There teaching skills are terrible!

My 2nd grade child came from California, where he struggled with curriculum, and found this school to be very easy. Luckily, we were able to get him into an excellent Charter School where he can learn and be challenged.

Desert Garden is a school that focuses on children and puts their needs first. Teachers work very hard. On any school day you will see their cars in the parking lot at 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. There are programs for tutoring plus Second Step
