Hidden Hills Elementary School Reviews

Great school. My child who went to HH has performed well in subsequent grades, exceeding all expectations. Kudos to the teachers and administrators for keeping this a great 'neighborhood' school while stressing learning and growing.

I'm a grandparent at Hidden Hills, I am disappointed how the Principal treats the parents unfairly and with disharmony, also allowing the staff to speak the way they do infront of children. Unfortunately, leadership is lacking at this school. My personal experience listening to the staff was extremely unprofessional. And the principal is doing very little about the infelicitous behavior that goes on at this school. This school only Rates a low 7 the kids here are so behind academically. I would not recommend this school for any child until the District does some house cleaning with the STAFF.

the teachers are great and they bend over backwards for kids who need extra help.

I entered this school on a variance, persuaded by parents who had children at this school. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Hidden Hills. The staff know my child, the teachers are loving and professional, and I feel that I have a voice and a home here. My child is an individual here and is able to shine just by being a part of this school. That is priceless to me.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Hidden Hills from the staff to the school itself! We have had one daughter start in Kindergarten and graduate from Hidden Hills, moving to Shea with most of her classmates from there this past year. We have another one that will enter 2nd grade next year and look forward to many more great years. It is one of the best schools in Phoenix and will do everything we can to ensure our last daughter is able to attend all the way through thanks to the remarkable staff, environment and our past positive experiences. Don't ever change!!!

I completely disagree with the person who said they were disappointed. That has not been my family's experience at Hidden Hills The front office personal was extremely professional and very caring, she knew both my children by name and she had never met me. We have found the faculty, staff ad principal way above average; caring, involved, and experienced. The principal is truly amazing... have you experienced the mom prom and daddy dance yet? (this is but a few the many extras to be experienced by the students and parents of the school.) I have both 2nd and 5th grade students. I am happy, my children are happy and each and every email to my the children's teachers has been answered promptly professionally and with the intimate knowledge I expect. This is a great school that goes above and beyond...I appreciate the effort and the outcome.

This school is a gem! They have a dedicated staff, and warm atmosphere. I couldn't ask for more.

I just want to say that we are at this school by choice as we are here on a variance. I reviewed a lot of schools in the area and this one felt like the right fit. We hit a home run in my opinion as we have been welcomed into this wonderful family. I don't beleive that any school will be perfect just perfect for your family and this one was it for us.

I feel bad for the children of parents that are writing the bad reviews. This is suppose to be a wonderful, long lasting memory for our children. If you make it a negative experience for them it is going to be. And thats what they are going to remember. I have nothing but good things to say about HIdden Hills. I couldn't ask for better teachers! They go out of their way for my 3 children. I thank them for all their hard work and time that they put into teaching my children. Running a school and teaching so many kids is a difficult job and I thank you. Don't ever let the few negative people out there make you think your not appreciated. Just look at the smiles on those cute faces at the end of the day. You'll say it was worth it. Thank you.

Hidden Hills is a wonderful school...excellent teachers and great programs. I love the environment the minute you step into the school.

We feel our son has had a wonderful experience in the 3 years he's been attending. We have found that the school experience is only as good as what the parents put into it (i.e., parental involvement with their child and with the school itself).

Our family loves Hidden Hills and we are very happy to have found such a wonderful home! We are out of school boundaries, and have been extremely pleased with our choice to commute to the school. Our teachers are dedicated and individualize for our children to meet their academic, social, and emotional needs. I have great respect for the leadership at the school, which has been respectful, responsible, and shown true dedication to the children of our community.

I am so DISAPPOINTED in this school. The children are not ready for the AIM's testing. The front office personnel is terrible and so unprofessional. I am in the processes of moving my 3 children out of this school. I can't even begin to talk about the problems at this school. I would NOT recommed this elementary school, our kids need a better start.

Hidden Hills remains a favorite place for even my children who have moved on to middle and high schools. My middle schooler is excited to come back to this week's Family Fun Night for the Fun Run and friendly atmosphere. This is where she wants to spend her Friday night! A community school like Hidden Hills is a treasure.

as a parent and staff member at Hidden Hills, i know this to be a caring community for all learners. i would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a small, personal environment for their child.

As a parent of two kids attending this so called 'school', I am constantly dissapointed in the way the Faculty / District handles problems which are a daily occurance there. I have left this school once before, only to have to come back due to varience problems between the Washington and Paradise Valley Districts. The Washington schools are a much more caring and positive atmosphere, and even high higher academic ratings than Hidden Hills. Hidden Hills claims to have programs for students with certain needs, however, fails to deliver and falls below education standards and attend to the needs of students. Their State rating is on the low end of Highly Performing, a 7 out of 10 rating ! That would be a ' C ' grade in my book! Hidden Hills School is a lousy choice! Look around, and be very selective when choosing a school! Check the State Ratings!!

My children are in 6th grade now and have been going to Hidden Hills since Kindergarten. I am sad that this is their last year there since this is wonderful school! The teachers are not only highly qualified, but extremely dedicated to meeting the needs of each child and Mrs Geake is a terrific principal who does her utmost to ensure the safety and well-being of her students. I can truly recommend this school.

Unfortunately I am a parent at Hidden Hills Elementary school. I can't believe how unfriendly the front staff and principle are at this school. The school is in desparate need of new management to run this school. The play ground area has open gates in 3 areas which worries me. I am currently looking at moving my children out of this school. I feel sorry for the kids that have to stay there. At this point I would never recommend this school!!

Being a parent at hidden hills, I have worked very hard to help this school to only be treated unfairly and with disharmony. Unfortunately, leadership is lacking at this school. My personal experience with some of the staff was extremely unprofessional. A small school like this one doesn't afford much choice when the leadership isn't meeting your child's need. And the principal is doing very little about the infelicitous behavior that goes on at this school. The staff is just 'biding their time,' while they waste the precious time of the students they are trained professionally to serve and inspire. Unfortunately this school has a less than reputable ranking, look at the true ranking of your school this is only a low 7 rated school. I would not recommend this school!!!

I love this school. The teachers are great. My kids love going to school and they feel save there .They say is a home away from home

I've found Hidden Hills to be a warm, child centered environment for my child. The staff there (EVERYONE) demonstrates interest and concern for the well being of every child. My child's teachers have been extremely competent and professional. They have met and exceeded my child's educational needs. Hidden Hills is a great, special community!

As an employee of Hidden Hills and a parent that put 3 kids through this school, I have to say that as far as staff goes this school is awesome. The teachers have always been very positive and want the best for the children that they teach. The rest of the staff have always been polite and positive. This school was just rated an A+ school and continues to strive in providing the best education possible for its students.

I have been an involved parent at Hidden Hills for over 8 years. We are outside of the attendance area and I happily drive my children back and forth each day. The level of staff and parental involvement is very important to me and I have found Hidden Hills to be outstanding in both areas. We have a strong parent organization that goes above and beyond on a daily basis. There are many and varied after school enrichment classes taught by staff and community members. For me, this speaks directly to the level of adult involvement in the education of the students at Hidden Hills. My children have always been treated with respect and caring, and I feel the learning environment is all the better for that. My kids and I have loved it here and we will all miss Hidden Hills when it comes time to leave. Highly Recommend!

As a parent and a member of the staff, I recommend Hidden Hills to parents on a daily basis. Each staff member treats the child as one of their own. We (as staff) are there to provide guidance and to hopefully give a child a feeling of community. My own three children have gone through Hidden Hills on a variance from another PV school. I love this school. I think every child should have the opportunity to learn at Hidden Hills!!

We are new to Hidden Hills this year and we love it! We have been welcomed with open arms. The teachers work long and hard and the Principal is wonderful!

Hidden Hills is a great learning community for kids. The parent/volunteer involvement is strong. Teachers are eager to work with parents and encourage parents to be involved. There are a number of programs offered after school, the band director is wonderful and the majority of the teachers really try to 'reach' the kids and genuinely care about teaching and helping the kids learn.

As a parent at Hidden Hills, I can highly recommend this school to anyone who wants their child to have a quality education. When you enter the doors of this school, you feel immediately 'at home', and it will not take you long to realize that this school is an extended family, where each staff member and volunteer treat the children as if they were their own child. There is a sense of commitment among the staff, who work hard to make sure each child is learning what they need to learn, and are being pushed to work harder. I highly recommend seeing for yourself what a remarkable school Hidden Hills is. I feel the comments from August of 2005 are not about the Hidden Hills I know, but rather from one person who did not have a good experience and is trying to discount what the school has to offer.

I really love that availability of special needs programs for speech therapy for both of our kids. The teachers are wonderful and our kids love to go to Hidden Hills.

Hidden Hills is a very safe, family oriented community school, where everyone is welcomed and feel as if they belong. The high academic expectations of this school helped our child to be well prepared to go to the next grade level. Teachers and staff are very concerned about each individual child and work toward creating an environment to help them be successful, academically, socially and emotionally. Hidden Hills has been a stable school, where 100% of the staff enrolls their own children, which shows you the commitment of the staff. I highly recommend this school, the community and all they have to offer each individual child and family.

My family is not having the same experience as the negative reviews I just read. This is the second year we have been at the school. I was impressed w/ his first grade teacher, Mrs. S. and so far my second grader is very enthusiastic about Mrs. U. his teacher for this year. I have found the faculty and PTSA very involved w/ the school. The garden club is terrific and the after school Mascot Club well run. I feel my son is in a safe and supportive learning environment where he has met good friends and is receiving a quality education.

As a parent of three, I look for many components in a school and Hidden Hills exceeds these expectations. They are outstanding in reaching for higher standards for our children s current and future needs. When I speak of Hidden Hills, the words that come to mind are dedication, patience, commitment, reaching for the stars, safety, volunteering endless hours, people who love their jobs, unconditional love, thinking outside the box, doing what it takes to get the job done, and making kids, family and the community first. Thank you Hidden Hills. A+++ all the way.

I love this school! Principal and parent/teacher involvement is spectacular. There are many extracurricular activities and programs for both parents and students to get involved in. This school cares about its students and community.

Being a K-6 school this school is limited on its extracurricular activities but it still finds a way to offer the student body choices to keep them busy. Leadership at this school is top rated. The principle is in tune to all that is going on. It is not unusaul to see her pulling lunch duty or getting children across the street safely. Teachers are committed and there is longevity with the staff. Moving to an all day kindergarten has only made this school a more desirable place to be. Husky pride will surround you in the halls of this school.

hidden hills is a great school. The teachers are very involved with the children. The speech, reading teachers are very caring and works hard to make sure to met your childs needs. The extracurricular activies are prices kind of high this last year. I love walking in and the front know who i am which is warm and comforting to me. yet they still make me sign in for safety reason.

The staff members of Hidden Hills work closely with the students and their families to create an environment that is directly related to the success of the students.

I am very impressed with the school because of the scores it receives and its emphasis on science. The kindergarten student who placed in a national science fair was impressive. I hear lots of praise from our neighbors as well. Families are encouraged to participate in various programs throughout the year and the neighboring community is also welcome to school-wide events. Our neighbor also works at the school in administration and loves it.

My second grader has been enrolled at Hidden Hills for about 3 weeks and so far we are very happy. The teacher and office staff have been very kind and my little girl made a friend on her very first day.

I am very happy with the Hidden Hills Elementary School. My daughter is starting her third year here and the education quality is fantastic and the staff has been just great towards my daughters needs. Every school in the nation should take notice to Hidden Hills and I thank God my daughter is enrolled in such a wonderful school.

My daughter talks about each school day in a positive way and looks forward to going back each day. The education she has received over the past two years is amazing! What a great school and we are proud to be a part of it!

This school is excellent. My child has attended this school for several years and she loves it. The leadership of this school is outstanding and the after school clubs and programs are excellent.
