Hohokam Elementary School Reviews

I am so pleased with the staff my children have been lucky to have, the wonderful office staff - go Ms. Perez and Ms. Edmundson, and administration! I love the opportunity to have our monthly coffee talk with Principal Caudle. I am a firm supporter of attending your neighborhood school and know ALL parents must be involved with their child's educational successes and challenges. Mr. Brown did an awesome job as the school's parent involvement president - we will miss his exciting meetings! If you live in the area, I HIGHLY recommend you enroll your student(s) at Hohokam.

I am so pleased with Hohokam! The Principal is an excellent leader. The Assistant Principal bring years of valuable experience. The front office staff could not be anymore helpful. The teachers are constantly raising the bar. I feel confident that in this case no child is left behind. Students that need help are immediately identified and brought up to speed by a special team. Great school and will get even better with time.

My daughter loves to go to school. The staff here makes her feel comfortable and happy. What else needs to be said. I hope they keep up the good work.

Hohokam school is a wonderful school. The Teachers and staff are terrific. Our two children are excelling at school. Mr. Caudle is always at the school and PTA events. That is so refreshing when so many schools in the area have principals who are not even available to talk to. We are very happy with th school and the community.

Outstanding School taking care of the kids of this neighborhood.

We ve found Hohokam to be a wonderful school. The staff is caring and attentive to our daughter s needs and has been since we enrolled her in Kindergarten. Everyone is approachable and truly open to parental input. Our new principal Mr Caudle brings a strong sense of community to the school. We feel comfortable that she ll get not only a top-notch education, but that she ll be cared for and nurtured.

Hohokam is a school that is 100% concerned with each and every student that walks through their doors. Mr. Caudle, the new Principal goes out of is way to be make each student as well as staff members feel part of the Hohokam Community. Mr Craddock, the Vice-Principal is very understanding and encourages a positive environment. My daughters and I have been a part of the Hohokam Community for seven years. I strongly feel that my children have received an excellent education and a wonderful sense of morals.

The teachers at this school are highly dedicated and professional. They go out of their way to help all students and are extremely concerned with meeting the needs of the diverse student population. Chad Caudle shows a lot of promise as new principal in 2007. He will be a good fit for this excellent school.

The school has so much potential. The main problem is a stagnant staff which has been there to long. The PTA has been getting stronger since late 2005. Hopefully they will make a difference in 2006.

Hohokam. The school could be a good one if the staff learned how to encourage and give proper discipline to their students. Tammy and Art Moore

I thought this school was academically good. I liked all the teachers my son had, especially Ms.Scholz.she is awesome. They have a good strings programs with 2 concerts a year.my son had adhd and I feel they did not do enough to accomadate this.

This is a great school. The principal & the teachers are very involved. My son was part of the music program & he learned so much. They also have alot of after school activities. If we weren't moving so far away I would have loved for my son to finish the 6th grade their. My son has always enjoyed going to this school & has never encountered any problems with other kids their. The parents involvement is definitely encouraged. We love the carnival & silent auction they have every year.

Teachers and staff were pretty nice. But felt a lot of the teaching was helping only the children that didn't speak english.

I feel that this school is in need of a make over by starting with a new principal. Most of the teachers are great , but some are in need of some TLC towards children and basic understandings

Kevin Flynn does an outstanding job as Hohokam's principal. He does not ever hesitate to answer questions and has always been fair, honest and prompt in any matters, positive or the occasional negative- His staff serves as an example of his philosopies, following the same standards that he consistently demonstrates.

I feel this school has several areas in need of improvement. Safety , teaching , and a principal who stays on campus to tend any problems that arrise. Communication is a must also. I feel this school has many faults. I feel this school could be alot better if it had a solid discipline code which is for all the students not just one or two here and there and a stronger teaching goals. They also need to bring out a stronger level of supervision on the playground and cafeteria. Be consistent with all the students would make less problems down the line.

The teachers are wonderful and highly capable. The school's leadership suffers because the principal is not there enough. Parents are not as involved as they should be. The teachers make up for the other areas that are lacking.

I am sad to see that the current principal does not allow scouting in his school. Hohokam used to have the largest amount of Girl Scout troops in the neighborhood, and since this principal has been there, there are no longer scouts at Hohokam. Very sad, considering what a great program Girl Scouts has to offer.

While some of the teachers are great, others should really not be around children.
