Kyrene de los Lagos School Reviews

The teachers are very nice and harding working. The administration and security in the school is less than acceptable.

The primary teachers at Lagos are amazing. Love the integrated use of technology. Love the family involvement. Hard working PTO.

I really love this school. I have seen a lot of improvement over the last two years in the administration and the security of the school. Great great great teachers who really love the kids and want them not only to learn but also to feel good about themselves, too. Love the focus on the pillars of character -- so important. I have to say though that Miss Witthus rocks! She is the best teacher ever! So passionate about learning and so compassionate towards the children. She is an amazing asset not only to Lagos but to the entire Kyrene district!

A wonderful community for our family, a wonderful school for our children. Mrs. Johnson and Ms. Letofsky loop with their students in 1st and 2nd grade, creating a supportive and productive environment for our two children. Our children have loved these teachers; we have loved our experience at this school.

It seems that a lot of the not-so-good things listed in earlier years have been addressed at Lagos. My child is in the 2nd grade there, having been there since K and we love it. The new principal is dynamic and engaged and excudes enthusiasm. More after school clubs have been formed and there are community involvement opportunities as well. Mrs. Abramson is the best K teacher, I wish my child could have her all the way through. Ms. Letofsky is incredibly talented and has looped with us for 1 and 2. Her use of technology in the classroom is amazing.

I loved our experience with Lagos for the most part. My son is now in 5th grade and has had WONDERFUL teachers! We moved from another state and he adjusted VERY well here. Administration/Front office can be distant and rude, but the teachers have been WONDERFUL! Thank you for all your hard work Lagos teachers! The school nurse is also wonderful with the kids and parents! Very Thankful!

Parent involvement was very much encouraged and accepted in Mrs. Williams kindergarten class. My child was challenged academically and had quite a few opportunities for music and sports. I really like this school and what they seem to try to accomplish!

I think Lagos has some very good teachers. My daughter also had Mrs. Atkinson. She is amazing! Any child would be fortunate to have her! Fifth grade was so-so.

Somewhat concerned about the inability of the school to achieve scores equal to other schools in the area. This school consistantly scores below that of schools within a 2 mile area. It was a struggle for the school to achieve the score it presently achieves.

One of the Kyrene schools that is lacking a vision and leadership that is needed to stay on top. Parents are not allowed to be their child's advocate and any excitement that can be had is squashed.

Well furnished with resources, many staff members have been there since opening of school. Principal not the greatest.

My daughter entered the 1st grade at the end of the school year. We had relocated from out of state. My daughter made wonderful achievements. She adjusted very well, made friends, and established a relationship with her teacher who was the main reason my kid did so good at school.Lagos elementary is a very good school with a wonderful teacher, Mrs Atkinson. I am also thankful to the principal for being available and believing in his kids abilities, that's because he takes the time to get to know them.

Very active PTA. Many parent/grandparent volunteers at the school whose help seems to be greatly appreciated.

Over all the school is pretty good. They teachers seem good. The only two things I don't care for is the lack of parent involvement and the lack of extra activities prvided through the school.

The school has a smaller enrollment then other Kyrene schools, and I like that
