Madison Camelview Elementary School Reviews

My kids spent two years at Camelview. I was impressed with the music program. However, academically, I don't think the kids were pushed enough. I would like to have seen better follow up on homework assignments. I think the math program was lacking and the student/teacher ratio a bit high.

I am not very pleased overall with this school.

Camelview is the best school I have come across. The teachers and staff are really involved, which is great! I always get answers to my questions within the day requested. Mrs. Nieto is a wonderful kindergarten teacher and Ms. Carter is a wonderful first grade teacher. Good job ladies!

This school is excellent. The teachers & principle are vested in the children at this school. It is at the cusp of strategies in math & reading. I wish the school went through at least fourth grade!

My son started kinder last year going into school he knew the basic's his numbers 1-20, colors, shapes, abc's. By the end of the sch yr he was reading books, math (1st & 2nd grade level), writing complete sentences. This is is awesome and I recommend to all parents looking for their children to excell!

My daughter attended Madison Camelview last year. Her teacher was very young and quite inexperienced which only added to the problems she experienced there. As an only child, she has some special needs and obstacles to overcome, however when she came home and asked me if she was a 'bad' person, I knew it was time to find another school. She's attending another school in variance in lieu of Camelview, in my opinion, a Very lacking educational situation. BTW, the MAC program (before/after school program) there is so awful, it shouldn't even be licensed.

We are new to this school and I enrolled my 4 year old in the summer preschool and my 6 year old in kindergarten summer school. The first two days they both cried when I came to pick them up - -they did not want to leave. The teachers and assistants are wonderful and have helped me work through some discipline issues with my 4 year old. We will be attending Camelview in the Fall.

After-school care has great staff. The library is fabulous with a Reading Room that is carpeted and round and kid-friendly. Emphasis on reading and comprehension at a young age.

I truly enjoy my daughter being at this School because they have the nest teachers, and everybody is very well organized. My daughters love the School as much as I do.

Excellent literacy and numeracy teaching philosophy.

very irritated as to why kindergarden students are not aloud to bring library books home and as to why a drivers license is not being checked when my child is being picked up from school from someone other then myself.

the preschool is one of the best and newest in town.
