Marshall Ranch Elementary School Reviews

My granddaughter (who is also my ward)attends Marshall Ranch. The 1st semester of Second grade has not been the wonderful experience she had in grades K and 1. I believe that part of the problem is that the 3rd second grade teacher was released and the classes consolidated. Being a former educator myself, I well understand how much better the students can learn in smaller classes. I still feel that Marshall Ranch is a high quality school, but just wish the class sizes were smaller.

This is a wonderful school. The staff is caring and knows my children by name. The education is far surperior to the education that my children were receiving in a Phoenx School district school. A++ to all the staff teachers and school administrative team for a job well done.

I have been attending Marshall Ranch for five years now. This year I will be graduating. Overall, I have found it to be the best elementary school I could have attended. Some of the teachers were strict, sure, but in the end they only had your well-being in mind. many of the teachers are young, so they can relate very well, especially with the older kids which makes school a more welcome experience. I am really glad that I have gotten to attend MR, and I would definately reccomend any parents, that have the choice, place their children in this school.

This school challenges children and does not accept mediocrity.

I have 2 children attending Marshall Ranch. As with any school. It's the teacher that makes it all happen. Unfortunately at Marshall Ranch it's hit and miss. Both of my kids have mild special needs - one in the speech program and the other with severe ADHD. They do a terrible job accomodating these types of situations. I feel zero support for the situations. The administration is competent, but they staunchly defend every staff member... nice, but what about putting the children first? I have seen teachers be flat out wrong and act in an unprofessional manner, with a completely uncaring attitude and the administration stands by them. Overall, we are dissatisfied with Marshall Ranch administration but the desire to have our kids attend their own community school is enough to make us continue with the frustration.

I went to Marshall Ranch and recently graduated. This was by far the best elementary school in the district. When I heard things about the other schools from their students, I realize how lucky I was and what a great experience the staff and teachers gave me. I loved every single one of my teachers and enjoyed my 8 years I spent there. I loved Marshall Ranch!

I think Marshall Ranch is a super school. They really balance academics with character-building. The environment seems positive. Mr. Johnson who has been principal since the school opened is retiring this year but Mrs. Lundberg appears to be very capable.

My son has attended this school for over 2 years and I'm very unhappy with the way the nurse handles things, the way a child is disiplined over and over again for the same thing, the safety of all children in the school. This next year my son will be attending another school due to lack of respect fot the children and safety. I do not recommend this school even though they were a a+ school on 2000, what happened in the mean time, they went down hill!

Marshall ranch is an excellent school. I have attended it for five years and I will be graduating this year, and I could not have chosen a better school to attend. the teachers, are great. many of them are easy to relate to, and have a sense of humor, which definately makes school a more welcome experiance. this school, is based off of the students needs, so in several grades it offers excelled classes for the advanced and tutoring for those that struggle.

I have had a wonderful experience with Marshall Ranch. The expectations the teachers have for the parents has always met or exceeded my own.

Marshall Ranch has been an excellent school for your 2 children. The principal, with help from the teachers and staff, works very hard to have a well run school.

Marshall Ranch is a great school. The teachers and administrators take an interest in each child. Last year, the school was named an A+ School. The principal just received the Raymond S. Kellis Leadership in Administration and Teacher Award. The school district has the LEAP Program that helps 1st graders learn to read. My son could not read when he began 1st grade and within 2 weeks, he was reading books, not just words. This program gives the children higher self-esteem. It gives them the one on one attention that may be necessary to teach them. In February, my daughter in Kindergarten had mastered her Spalding Phonograms and had advanced to reading. She had never read before this. She told me that she already knew how to read them. She opened the books and read all 3 that she brought home. My son s 3rd grade teacher keeps school interesting and fun for the kids. During the Stanford 9 Tests, she asked the parents to donate items for a nutritious breakfast for the kids each morning before the testing began. I think that is a wonderful idea. The teacher wanted her students to do well on the test. She communicates her concerns with the parents. This teacher also offers after school tutoring for the children that are struggling. I would not want my children to go to any other elementary school after attending Marshall Ranch. There is a reason the school, administrators and teachers continually win awards. These teachers deserve the recognition they receive.
