Mesa Junior High School Reviews

As a current student at Mesa Junior High, I feel I am recieving a wonderful learning experiance. The councilers help prepare students for college with the assistence of a program called Quia. They also take in consideration parents suggestions as well as modificatons to students scheduals. In my opinion, the teachers are excellent at what they do. They interatct with students and help them reach their goals. The principal at Mesa Jr. is outstanding. She cares for the students, promotes an learning atmosphere, and tries to improve the school as best she can. MJH has its negatives but no school is prefect. I reccommend this school to anyone and I am proud to say I am a Mesa Junior High EAGLE!

the school is great but they should lose the uniforms this way the children with show thier expression and by this way they can get along with the students so i think they should lose to uniforms!!!

Our 5 kids range in age 23-14. The school was a much better school in 1998 than it is now. Very few good teachers other who need a new profession. The principal is trying too hard to cater to the hispanic community(I'm hispanic) & the school uniforms are ridiculous, kids find their way around the policy, especially when you have some kids who are allowed to get away from the guidelines and others who are constantly harrassed about their uniform. My kids get good grades only because I stay on them. No contact between teacher and parent unless I initiate it and even then they make me feel like I'm disturbing them. The office staff hasn't a clue, I hate calling there w/a question & school security!? The reason we sent our kids there was for the diversity but these last three years the school has gone WAY down hill.

I think the teachers should be more patient with the student and explain the process of their class work,

This school is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i go there and it is nostop fun!!!

I have had children go through Mesa Junior for the past 12 years and since the new principle has taken over I feel the school has gone down hill. The staff isn't as happy and nobody really goes over and beyond there job. It seems the principle is turning the teachers and staff away. Since the change I have pulled my child from the school and my younger children will not be returning.

I have had children at Mesa Junior for the last 8 years. Mesa Junior has teachers that care about the students and even though it has a bad reputation, there nothing there that is not at the other schools. Anyone who takes a child from this school, just because of a reputation, should realize that being where it is, rather then what it is, is what people see the most. It has very caring teachers, and my children have thrived there, I will miss not having a student there next year.

Most of the teachers really want the students to succeed.

Have not been satisfied with just about anything. No consistencies, no followup with any issues, even after requested. Principal weak in all skills. No communication with parents from any teachers have been our experiences this year, the only year our daughter has went to Mesa Junior High. We are looking for a new school currently and will not be sending her back there. Oh, her grades dropped dramatically and we were left with the inititative to connect with school. Still no followups.
