Montecito Community School Reviews

I have three children that attend this school, I think that the teachers & staff are wonderful. The academic programs are standard to above standard, there is always something for the kids to do & the school involvement with parents is GREAT.

The school is allright. I believe there are alot of caring teachers there. They have a big problem with their bus system and occasionally the bus will be late because other bus drivers dont show up and there is NO phone call to the parent. I often felt left in the dark and felt that my concerns on this matter were never addressed or even cared for. Look around for a better school. I went to Osborn myself but the breaksfast system is a joke too! Talk about BAD food.

I highly recommend MCS to any parent. MCS is a school where children and their families come first. The principal and her staff are outstanding. The teachers are highly skilled and work hard to bring out the best in each child. You can tell, with the label 'Performing School'. They have a number of programs for both students and parents, including Pre-k, full day Kindergarden, and Head Start. They also have a number of programs that help enrich the learning process, including breakfast in the classroom, free lunch to all students, after school snacks, and kid's cafe. City of Phoenix sponsored afterschool program is great for parents who work later than school pickup time. Mandatory uniforms help with a great disipline program, and help is available for those that can not afford uniforms.

They have very few programs your child can be involved in besides regular p.e. sports and music their is no extracurricular activities level of parent invovment is zero they have mediocer at best in academic programs if they have enough staff at the time
