The principal and staff are consistent in their approach to teaching and discipline. They are compassionate, helpful, resourceful and kind.

Saguaro Ranch is an elementary school that my 3 kids all went to , for all their elementary years . I loved the teachers , the whole staff . They work so hard to provide and enviroment to learn , and they care about each student . My kids benefited so much because of their extroadinary care .

The atmosphere there, the administration/teachers have great attitudes.

I had my child in Sahuaro for about 1 month. I removed my child from the school due to the lack of education and supervision. The schoolwork assigned to my child was work he had had already done in previous grades. The standards were extremely low. My child would bring home about 5 minutes worth of homework and it was busy work at that; things like 'find a word' etc. When I addressed this with his teachers they became very defensive instead of actually addressing my concerns. My child, when discussing his day, would tell me that children were cussing and saying and doing things they had no business doing but that there was no teacher around to put a stop to it.

My daughter attended Sahuaro's MAP program for 6 years. The MAP teachers were a fantastic team that really developed the children's curiosity and learning, I can't compliment them enough. The principal is extremely dedicated - he attended every single after school activity - science fairs, recitals, etc. The only drawback was that math classes were not as strong as I would have liked.

Sahuaro is an excellent school. The principal really cares about the children and is highly visable on campus. The teachers my children have had over the years have been a joy to work with and always seem to have the best interest of the children in mind. I especially like the discipline program at Sahuaro. They use the responisble thinking classroom for those children that are disrupting the learning environment, which really makes sense to me because if a child is constantly disrupting then they leave the room and go to the RTC and then the classroom teacher can go on with her lesson and those children that are truly at school to learn are able to do so without having to watch the class clown. Every staff member I have encountered at Sahuaro has been nothing but nice, from office staff to the maintenance staff.

This is a fantastic school, with such wonderful teaching capabilities. I absolutely love that there is two different types of gifted programs, wonderful extracurricular activities and a great discipline program called 'R.T.C.' I am proud to say that my children attend this school, and highly recommend it to anybody looking for a good education for their children.

I really like my son's preschool teachers. He has learned much these last few months he's been attending school. They encourage parent participation and are always willing to talk to us when we need to discuss something. On the other hand, when we wanted to discuss with the principal about safety he wouldn't make the time for us. I'm not satisfied with the principal. Other than that, I like the school, but my son will be attending Acacia come the fall.

Disgusting. I don't even know where to begin. I have taken my child out of this school due the staff here! Now mind you the most (after school program) staff is wonderful! The teachers (mostly subs) and Administrative staff are horrid. My son is 5 (now 6) and graduated kindergarten from another public school district who had different age limits. After my son's teacher had a family emergency the 'support system' was horrible, sub after sub, my son steadily declining even though I spend hours with him with his homework. We hope Sweetwater Elementary will be much better.

I am very pleased with both the teaching and administrative staff at Sahuaro Elementary. My son's KG and 1st grade teachers have been very open to parent communication and provided great feedback/advice on homework techniques. It has been a very positive experience and I'm looking forward to my youngest son beginning KG there next school term; he is very excited as well since his it's his big brother's school :) The P.A.T.S organization is well organized and holds ongoing activities through out the year for the kids. There are extracurricular activities available. Parents are encouraged to get involved with their children's class through volunteerism.

The Multi Age Program (MAP Center) for highly gifted children is great. The teachers are wonderful. They know how to deal with and encourage gifted children. They are so patient. They challenge the children bye working at above grade level. I wish they encouraged interaction with the other children in the school. These children need to learn social skills so that they can function in society. I also wish we could see their test scores compared to other kids. I would like to see a comparison of our gifted program and other gifted programs in other disticts. Thank you MAP center teachers for a great year! I do not like the schools discipline program. Removing the child from the learning enviroment for behavior is wrong. The Responsibility Training Center should be removed the rest of the program is great.

The self contained multi-age gifted program ( MAP Center)is excellent giving upper elementary school children the opportunity to work on middle school curriculum. Students are truly challenged to do their best and explore their full potential. The math and science curriculum is outstanding. The language program can be improved with more focus on developing writing skills.
