Raymond S. Kellis Reviews

The teachers are great at keeping parents updated on student progress. The school seems very safe. The Freshmen football program is the best in Arizona! Go Cougars!

I attending RSK my four years of high school, as the first graduating class. This school is excellent! The teachers are amazing and Mr. Mattern (internship teacher) even got me into a scholarship program at ASU. The teachers are all very encouraging and Mrs. Miranda puts her full effort into making Kellis the very best! I could not have felt safer at this school. Next year, I will have two sisters taking after me and attending this school. The Kellis staff could not care more about each student's future. I plan to teach in the special education department once I graduate ASU!

Cougar Pride is it in you? Own it! I was apart of the first graduating class at kellis. The school is amazing! Not only are the parents involved but the Teachers are aswell. When you go to Kellis you don't only feel like your around other people but you also feel at home as well. The teachers give you time to show you if you don't understand it. The clubs help you meet new friends and life friends including Cougartown. Altho Kellis should have more support from others for how well they treat their students and the staff is doing a wonderful job. But if the principal maranda she could of been involved with a lot more stuff other than football. Kellis was wonderful it has really encouraged me to double major in education and work for kellis one day!

I have two children at Kellis and my son will be going next year. I am very happy with the overall education that my daughters have received so far. Both of them are in honors or advanced classes and feel they are appropriately challeneged--especially by Mrs. Ross-WOW! The atmosphere is so very welcoming--My son cannot wait to try out for the football and basketball teams next year. We already have had state championships in several sports and the school is only five years old! My only complaint would be that the district and the city of Glendale tends to treat Kellis as the ugly stepchild--PAY attention --Kellis will do great things!

My daughter attends RSK. She is special ed across the board and this is the first time she is getting an education. The faculty is exceptional. When my daughter was hospitalized each one of her teacher's came to see her. There should be more schools in AZ that go the extra mile for their students. Raymond S Kellis is the best.

I have two children that attend RSK. My daughter has been here since the school opened & will be the first graduating class. RSK is an excellent school. I have heard parents from other schools say the teachers don't care about the kids when they get in high school. This is NOT the case with RSK. We haven't had a teacher yet who doesn't care or isn't willing to go the extra step to help out. The administrators are wonderful and do everything they can to make this a safe school. Both of my kids have and are enjoying their high school days at RSK & wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

The experience I have had with this and many of the schools in the valley is lacking in many ways. But in thought of it all this school is so flighty it is lucky to stay on the ground. Decisions of the factuality are made like a first year apprentice would make in most trades. They lack the ability to access situations and set standards that are established by knowledge. It is more based on trial and error than an intellectual decision.

I am new at RSK and so far, this has been a great experience.Everyone here is respectful and polite to the point where you can feel relaxed as soon as you go into a class. new student

Principal and Vice-Principals do not know what they are doing. It is not a very safe school and kids are not held responsible when they do anything to hurt another student. I had to take my child out of this school. I would not recommend this school at all. I am hoping that Peoria District becomes involved with this school because it has major problems.

This school is brand new it has everything you want for your child for sports and extra activites for your children so they have things to do after school. The people at the high school care for your child, and everyone is polite. They have cougar pride for there school and except kids out of the district meaning they give everyone a chance.

My daughter is in the special needs program at Kellis and we have not been pleased. Two of the current teachers are awesome. We have attempted to discuss issues with the vice principal, however, she spent most of her time defending teachers and trying to psychoanalyze us. If my daughter did not have strong bonds with the 2 good teachers as well as her friends we would have pulled her out!

I am a sophomore at RSK. I think Kellis is a wonderful school to attend. I love it here, I would not trade it for the world. I am so glad that they opened Kellis up. They have the best classes to offer anyone in the world, and the sport teams have team spirit and sportsmanship.

I love that my daughter goes to this school. She has exelled in all of her classes including her electives. Which happen to be dance and choir which she says are the funnest classes that she has ever had in her life and loves to go to school! Her dance teacher is amazing and my daughter convinces everyone to join. This is only her second year and she wants to stay for two more!

I am so overjoyed with the district, school and administration. The intouch system allows me to daily check my child's attendance and progress/grades, which is a great daily communication alternative. My child was previously with the Dysart district and although achieved good grades did not do his best, for the past year my child has been eager to go to school and has been excelling since. Hearing my child state that the teachers really are concerned and are there to help means more than I could state. I commend the staff and say thank you. I highly recommend this school

I am proud to tell people that my son goes to RSK. The teachers take time to inform you of your childs progress and if they have concerns they pick up the phone and call! I feel confident in that my son is getting a great education and that the staff there really does care.

PUSD has done a good job of opening a new high school with a minimum of disruption. Both certified and classified staff are very responsive. Kellis has the potential to be a great school.

This is the second year of high school for my son. He chose Kellis for the variety of classes it offered. The teachers are very nice and are willing to listen. The art class is excellent. The principal of Kellis is very nice and if there is a problem , he is willing to listen and he acts immediately to remedy the situation. Kellis has a zero tolerance policy for theft, gang activity and harassment and such activities are taken care of in a timely manner.
